Aida L. Shields, age 57 of Bridgeton (formerly of Vineland) went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 26, 2013 in Genesis Eldercare, Millville Center. Aida was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico to the late Angel and Luz M. (Reyes) Rodriguez and lived in Vineland most of her life before moving to Bridgeton. Aida was a homemaker and member of New Life Tabernacle Church of Vineland. She loved her pet dogs and watching television. Survivors include her loving husband of 36 years, Thomas J. Shields of Bridgeton. Daughter, Frances Acevedo of Bridgeton, three step-children, Johnny Shields and his wife Maria of Vineland, Joan Shields of Millville and Stacy Shields of Williamstown. Also two brothers, Luis Rodriguez of Vineland and Angel Rodriguez Jr. of Puerto Rico, and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31st at 7:00 PM from the New Life Tabernacle Church 69 W. Landis Ave. Vineland with Rev. Ramsey officiating. Burial will be private.
