Obituary

Alexandro (Alex) Velez age 39, was born on July 20, 1980 and went back home to heaven on Friday, February 21, 2020. He would have wanted Abuelita Meri, Tití Aida, Tio Fabian, Tio Joe, Ito, Mila, and Josue to make a big fus in heaven because Alex loved to make an entrance almost as much as he loved his family. He had an infectuous happiness and sense of humor and loved to make everyone laugh everywhere he went even if that meant making a wildly inappropriate joke or prank, that everyone would laugh at yet no one could ever stay mad at him for. Alex never met anyone he didn't like and never was there anyone who did not like Alex. He was beloved by his family, his many many friends and extensive church family. Alex was the guy who would forever ask to borrow twenty bucks but he was also the guy who would give you the shirt right off his back, who would walk five extra miles with you or give you the last five dollars in his pocket without hesitation. He was truly a loving man and a kind and generous soul.

He leaves behind the love of his life and greatest accomplishment, Josiah Velez whom he was very proud of for being happy, smart, loving and for having his sense of humor. His loving mother and father Idalia & Hector Velez, his only sister Odalis Cardenas, his little niece Camila Cardenas, his many aunts and uncles who loved him like a son, Titi Bruni & Tio Juan, Tití Sonia & Tio Hector, Tití Mildred & Tio Noel, his loving family in Puerto Rico. His many cousins whom loved him like a brother, many friends and many people that will miss him dearly. But, we who knew him, grew up knowing Christ as our Lord and savior and so we suffer his loss not as the world mourns but as believers do, with the hope we will see him again very soon.
