Alfred "Al" W. Iezzi Jr. age 84 of Milmay, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 20, 2016.

Al was born in Norma, NJ to the late Alfred W. and Jennie (D'Ascenzo) Iezzi Sr.  He was a resident of Vineland for most of his life before moving to Milmay 16 years ago.  Al proudly served his country in the US Army, during the Korean War, in the 92 ^nd Field Artillery Battalion.  During this time he earned a Presidential Citation for rescuing a Marine division known as the "Frozen Chosin" in the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir.  Prior to his retirement, Al worked as a scientific lab glass blower for Lurex Glass Co. of Vineland.  Al enjoyed reading and all things of nature.  He was an avid hunter who truly loved the outdoors.

Al is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary E. (Baker) Iezzi of Milmay.  His six daughters; Deborah Carlton of Vineland, Denise Iezzi of Merchantville, Marilee Griffin of Ft. Myers, FL., Miriam Blane and husband Steve of Rockville, IN., Lisa Hussain and husband Kaschif of Philadelphia, PA. and Laura Mish and husband Raymond of Vineland.  He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 24 ^th at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland.  Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.  Family and friends may gather on Friday from 9:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home.
