Guzman
July 8, 1920 – April 30, 2018
Amalio Guzman, age 97 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 30, 2018, at the Hammonton Center.
Amalio was born in Lares, Puerto Rico to the late Manuel and Victoria (Acevedo) Guzman and was a resident of Vineland for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, Amalio worked as a laborer with Progresso Foods of Vineland for over 30 years. He was a member of the Spanish Pentecostal Assembly of God Church and enjoyed reading the Bible. He was an avid Phillies fan and cherished the time he shared with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Rosa Cruz-Ramos in 1966 and by 2 grandchildren; Miguel Guzman Jr. in 2014 and Emanuel Guzman in 2004.
Amalio is survived by his 2 sons; Miguel Guzman and wife Ana and Hector Guzman and wife Sonia, all of Vineland. His 2 daughters; Maria Guzman of Millville and Carmen (Guzman) Rivera and husband Dewel Rivera of Vineland. Amalio is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 4th at 11:00 am with Rev. Jose C. Almanza officiating at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends may gather from 10:00-11:00 am at the funeral home.
