Ambrosio Vicente, age 98, of Staten Island, NY, formerly of Vineland, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Verrazano Nursing Home, Staten Island, NY. Born in Cidra, Puerto Rico, to the late Angelo Vazquez and Herminia Vicente, Ambrosio lived a full life, residing in Brooklyn, NY, Caguas, Puerto Rico, and finally settling in Vineland, NJ.

Before his retirement, Ambrosio worked as a doorman for a residential building in Manhattan, NY. He was a devoted Catholic parishioner and an active member of Cursillo. Ambrosio enjoyed fixing things, playing dominoes, and visiting the Atlantic City casinos. He also attended the Vineland Adult Community Day Care Center.

Ambrosio was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lydia M. Vicente, his son, Jose Vicente, and his grandson, Jose Vicente Jr. He is survived by his loving daughters, Christine Vicente of Kissimmee, FL, and Maria Lao and her husband Carlos of Staten Island, NY. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and his two brothers, Juan Vazquez (Blanca) of Vineland and Ismael Vicente of Brooklyn, NY.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th, at 12:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ. Family and friends may gather from 10:00 - 12:00 pm. Following the service, Ambrosio will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
