Anavi "Ana" Jimenez, age 86 of Vineland (formerly of Millville), peacefully went to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 27, 2014 at home. Born on Nov. 22, 1927 in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Genaro and Josefa (Velez) Jimenez, Ana resided in Vineland and Millville for 54 years. She retired from Crown Clothing Co. of Vineland after 35 years of working as a seamstress. Ana was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, and belonged to the Cursillistas and the Lady of Mary Society. Ana enjoyed going to the casinos. Her precious and happiest moments were preparing special dinners and sharing time with family and friends. Ana was predeceased by her husband Ildelfonso Jimenez in 1987 and by her daughter, Anavid "Anna" Gonzalez in 2001. Also by her 2 sisters; Ana Lydia Ramos and Francisca Ramos and her 3 brothers; Christian, Genaro and Victor Jimenez. Ana is survived by her loving and devoted children, 2 sons; Juan Jimenez and wife Nellie and Eddie Jimenez and wife Ivette, all of Vineland, and her daughter, Digna Jimenez and husband Aristides Miranda of Millville. 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and also by her 2 sisters; Nereida Rivera of Orlando, FL. and Carmen Sotomayor and husband Angel of Vineland, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 3rd at 11:00 am at the Divine Mercy Parish, 23 W. Chestnut Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Millville. The viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, and on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 am at the CHURCH.
