In Loving Memory of Angela Lacy, Age 84
Angela Lacy, passed away peacefully at home in Kissimmee, Florida, on June 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of her daughters.
Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Angela was one of twenty-one children. Angela resided in, Vineland New Jersey, the hometown she cherished and where she built a life dedicated to family, service, and community.
Angela was the devoted mother of two daughters, Wanda Cleveland and Maria Lacy. She was a proud grandmother to Crystal Cavagnaro, Amanda Fromm, Brianna Pabon, Anthony Cross, and Alfredo Figueroa. She was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren and is survived by six loving siblings, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Throughout her life, Angela dedicated herself to serving others. She worked as a social worker early in her career before spending more than 30 years as a school bus driver for the City of Vineland Board of Education. She also drove for Sheppards Bus, where she was known for her kindness, dependability, and genuine care for the children she transported.
Angela’s passion for discipline and personal growth led her to study Tang Soo Do under Grandmaster Yi at Yi’s Martial Arts in Woodbury, New Jersey. Through years of dedication and perseverance, she earned the distinguished rank of 4th Degree Master Black Belt. She later fulfilled a lifelong dream by opening her own Yi’s Karate Dojo, where she proudly trained and mentored students throughout Cumberland County, inspiring confidence, respect, and self-discipline in countless lives.
A devoted Catholic, Angela lived her faith through compassion and service. She quietly helped families in need, gave generously to those around her, and found joy in sharing flowers, plants, and vegetables from her garden with friends, neighbors, and anyone who could benefit from her kindness.
Angela had many passions that filled her life with creativity and joy. She loved sewing, cooking, baking, gardening, aerobics, jogging, and creating beautiful arts and crafts. Whether tending to her flowers, preparing a meal for loved ones, or encouraging others to be their best, she brought warmth, generosity, and love into every life she touched.
Angela will be remembered for her gentle heart, unwavering strength, generous spirit, and endless compassion. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Her legacy of faith, service, perseverance, and unconditional love will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Angela’s life. Visitation will be held at Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
