Angel L. Padilla Sr., age 72 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Genesis Millville Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Angel was born in Corozal, Puerto Rico to the late Felix and Monica (Santiago) Padilla and was a resident of Vineland for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, Angel worked as a grounds keeper with the Atlantic City Country Club in Linwood for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, gardening and was an avid N.Y. Yankees fan. Above all, Angel loved to share time with his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his brother Ernesto Padilla, his sister Adela Padilla and by his great-granddaughter Mia Jade Star.

Angel is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Hilda (Rivera) Padilla of Vineland. His 3 children; Mayra Perez and her husband John, Angel Padilla Jr. and his wife Jennifer and Catherine Padilla and her fiancé Frankie, all of Vineland. Along with 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, a sister and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral Liturgy will take place on Monday, July 29th at 10:00 am at the Divine Mercy Parish, 23 W. Chestnut Ave. Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. The viewing will be on Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland and again on Monday morning from 9:00-10:00 am at the Church.
