Angel L. Rivera, Sr. age 81 of Minotola, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland, NJ.

Angel was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Ernesto and Belen (Martinez) Rivera and was a resident of Vineland for most of his life before moving to Minotola 5 years ago. He was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish of Vineland and loved to play dominoes, cards and watch the Philles. Angel was a great practical jokester and loved to share time with his family. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a custodian with the Sands Casino in Atlantic City.

Angel is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Minerva (Ortiz) Rivera and his 6 beloved children, 3 sons; Angel L. Rivera Jr. and wife Lucinda of Orlando, Fl., Victor M. Rivera of Gainesville, VA and Steven Rivera of Vineland, 3 daughters; Ilene Rivera of Charlotte, NC, Carmen Mondragon (Tomas Ruiz) of W. Berlin, NJ and Desiree Jordan and husband Wesley of Charlotte, NC. Along with 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, Ismael Rivera, Ernesto Rivera (Veronica) and Fred Rivera, all of Miami, Fla. Also 3 sisters, Minedy Rivera of Vineland, Ramonita Morris (Eugene) of Springfield, Mass. and Teresa Martinez (Tony) of Vero Beach, Fla. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 18th at 10:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Pastor Adrian Arce officiating. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends may gather on Monday from 9:00-10:00 am at the funeral home.
