Antonia "Toni" Peña, 88, of Newfield, NJ went on to be with the Lord, peacefully Saturday, April 29th 2023 surrounded by family and loved ones. Antonia was born in New York City on November 1, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Luis and Lucia Durant.

She married the love of her life, the late George Peña, in 1955 and resided in New York until they ultimately moved to Vineland and settled in Upper Pittsgrove, where she lived for fifty years.

Antonia was a secretary and worked for agencies such as the IRS, the New York Times, and the Social Security Administration. She eventually transitioned into a successful career as a real estate agent.

Over the course of her life, she served the Lord faithfully as a Sunday School teacher, and member of the choir, which was led by her husband, an elder in several churches, and continued attending church until her last days. She was known for her kindness, compassion, and gentleness with all who encountered her.

Antonia is survived by her three sons, the Rev. George Peña Jr. and his wife Yolanda Peña, Joseph A. Peña, and Luis B. Peña and her grandchildren, Nathaniel Peña, Natalie Lopez, and Gabriel Peña. She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren and her brother Louie Durant. She was preceded by her sisters, Carmen, Catalina, and Elizabeth.

Funeral services will be held at the Vineland Spanish Assemblies of God at 512 S. 3rd Street in Vineland, NJ on Tuesday, May 2nd starting at 7:00 PM, and again on Wednesday May 3rd, services will commence at the same location with a 9:00 AM viewing followed by a 10:00 AM service. Interment will follow in the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, Woodstown.
