Antonio Tapia, age 83 of Vineland, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 11, 2017.

He was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico to the late Pablo and Andrea (Hernandez) Tapia.  At the age of 17, Antonio moved to the U.S. and has resided in Vineland for the last 14 years.  Prior to his retirement, he worked on the assembly line for the book company Lyle Stuart, Inc. in N.Y. for many years.  Antonio enjoyed music and watching Westerns and Mexican comedy movies.  Most especially he loved to go to the beach and share time with his family.

He was predeceased by his wife Julia Tapia, his son Pablo Martinez and his daughter Ana Maria Tapia.

Antonio is survived by his cherished and devoted grandchildren; Maribel Lopez and Evelyn Morales (Anibal), both of Vineland and Madelaine Gonzalez of Camden.  His great-grandchildren; Christopher Lopez Jr., Nathan Lopez, Anibal Morales III, Enrique Orlando Morales, Alisha Marie Gonzalez and Tatyana Lynn Wiseman, along with his great-great-granddaughter Liliani Saige Lopez.  Antonio is also survived by his step-children Angel and Junior.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 17th at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland.  Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.  Family and friends may gather from 10:00-11:00 am at the funeral home.
