Barbara L. (Burkhart) Spicer, age 70 of Vineland went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at home. Barbara was born in Vineland to the late Clifford Pete and Mary (Weber) Burkhart and lived in Vineland most of her life. Prior to retirement, Barbara was a seamstress for various clothing companies for over 40 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Millville. She and her late husband, Frank, preformed music at Bishop McCarthy Residence for 27 years. She enjoyed cooking and especially baking. Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Frank W. Spicer Sr. in 2011 and sister, Eva Schaper. Survivors include her son, Franklin W. Spicer of Reno, NV., two grandchildren, Lida and Keith Spicer, both of California and two great-granddaughters, Kaylee and Zoey Spicer. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1st at 4:00 PM from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland with Rev. Charles Mitchell officiating. Burial will be private. Friends and family may gather one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
