Belen Salgado Perez, age 98, of Landisville, NJ passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, June 9, 2022. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly; she will be beautifully remembered by many.

Belen was born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico to the late Juan Salgado and Gumersinda Perez. She lived in PR until the age of 90, where she then went to live with her son & daughter in law in Landisville. During her time in there, Belen was a member of Queen of Angels Parish and had a deep love for Christ. She enjoyed colorful flowers and planting with her son every summer. Sitting outside with the sun shining and listening to music was her favorite. She never stopped thinking and loving her island of Puerto Rico, waking up every morning and asking for "Cafecito Rico de Puerto Rico". Family was everything to her. She will be most remembered for the amount of love she shared with her family including her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved equally. She was a devoted housewife and an exceptional mother. Her smile would light up any room she entered. She would wake up with a smile and go to bed with a smile. No matter her health or age, when you asked how she was feeling, she was always feeling good!

Belen was predeceased by her husband, Reinaldo Rodriguez and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her beloved 7 children; Reinaldo Rodriguez (Elsie); Gladys Rodriguez (Elicio Segui), Doris Rodriguez, Jorge L. Rodriguez (Iris), Migdalia Rodriguez (Wilfredo Diaz), Iris Rodriguez (Papo Nieves) and Marcos Rodriguez (Haydee Martinez). Also 21 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Viewing will be held from 9:30 am - 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish; Church of St. Michaels, 504 S. West Ave., Minotola, NJ. A Mass will follow at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow at Our Lady of Victories Cemetery,  201 E. Delaware Ave, Landisville NJ.
