BETTY ROSE TRIANTOS, age 72, passed away on November 24, 2014 due to complications from heart bypass surgery at Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia. Betty was born in May of 1942 in Vineland to her parents Anthony Vit and Elizabeth (Traverso) Vit. She was a lifelong Vineland resident and a graduate of The Vineland High School Class of 1960. Immediately upon graduation, she began working at The Max Leuchter Elementary School where she proudly dedicated 35 years of her life as a school secretary. She was blessed with many great relationships during her career and she truly loved each and every child who passed through the doors of the school. After retirement, she worked part time at D'Ippolito Elementary School for an additional 7 years where she continued to make an impact on the children of our community. In 1965, she married the love of her life, Frank Triantos, and they spent 49 beautiful years together. They were inseparable throughout their marriage while spending time traveling, camping, and enjoying life. In her spare time, she enjoyed dining out, playing the slot machines at the casinos, attending family functions, and drinking an occasional Manhattan cocktail with her friends. Betty will always be remembered for her kind and caring personality and her strength, even during times of adversity. Her faith in God and St. Jude was unmatched and it dictated how she lived her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones.
