It is always difficult to say good-bye to someone we love and cherish. Carlos Rodriguez passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday,December 26, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones.

Carlos was born on December 14th, 1917. He was one of five siblings of Andres Rodriguez and Calixta de Escobar and grew up in Maizales-Naguabo, Puerto Rico. Carlos was employed at the young age of 9yrs old and helped contribute with the home finances.

Carlos met and married his first wife Aurelia in 1945 at the age of 24yrs old and they began a family and had two children, Noemi and Carlos (Little Charlie) Rodriguez. Where then he relocated his family to New York City and he became a self-made entrepreneur. Carlos operated his own grocery store and was also a landlord to multiple properties.

Carlos was a beloved Grandfather to Jean, Eileen, Robert (Bobby- deceased), Carlos III (Cha-chi- deceased), and Christine.

He also was a loving great-grandfather and a great great-grandfather.

Carlos was a faithful husband to Aurelia Rodriguez for 56yrs. Upon her death in 2003 Carlos then remarried Antonia Rodriguez on July 28th, 2007. Where he was a loving husband and blessed with her beautiful family. Antonia was a faithful, caring and loving wife to the very end.

Carlos was a devoted member to Prayer Warrior Ministry Church on Valley Avenue in Vineland, NJ. He loved family gatherings where he was always singing, playing an instrument and sharing an encouraging word.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday December 29, 2021 at Prayer Warrior Ministry Church 503 N. Valley Ave. with Rev. Juan Perez officiating. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, 550 N. Valley Ave. Vineland.

Family and friends may gather from 5:00-6:00 PM on Tuesday in the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland and again on Wednesday from 9:00-10:00 AM in the CHURCH.

Arrangements are by the WAINWRIGHT-BERNHARDT Funeral Home, Vineland.
