Carlos Manuel Negron Velez of Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico son of Norberta Velez and Juan Negron of Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico, died due to prostate cancer on Monday, November 9th, 2020 at Hammonton Rehabilitation Center.

Carlos was born May 30th, 1946 and was raised "en el barrio de Jauca" and was the third child out of five children. Carlos was a hardworking man and worked for many years in the sugar cane industry in Puerto Rico. Carlos also loved being a fisherman; he enjoyed catching fish, crabs, and octopi by the beach near his home. Carlos was blessed to have multiple sons and daughters including Madeline Negron, Wanda Negron, Carlos M. Negron-Rodriguez, Iva Negron, Juan Negron-Santiago, Carlos Negron-Santiago, Jose Negron-Santiago, and Lourdes Negron-Santiago. Carlos was also blessed to have 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Carlos lived in Puerto Rico until the age of 73 years old and then moved to Vineland, New Jersey. Carlos lived under the care of his son Carlos Manuel Negron-Rodriguez for a few months. Carlos Manuel Negron-Rodriguez received help from his siblings to care for Carlos Manuel Negron Velez.
Carlos enjoyed living by the beach in Puerto Rico and visiting his family in Vineland, NJ. Carlos would visit his family in Vineland and always treat them to cooking a homemade meal with crabs, octopus, lobster, conch salad. Overall, Carlos enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and eating vanilla ice-cream.  Carlos will be deeply missed.

The viewing will be held on Friday, November 13th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
