Carlos H. Velez Jr., age 59 of Vineland passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.

Carlos was born in Los Angeles, California on January 16, 1964 to Carlos H. and Mary. E. (Gonzalez) Velez.

Carlos loved being surrounded by people and enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed eating his favorite food, Mac & Cheese and shopping at the Mall. He loved books and although he could not read them, he enjoyed looking at the pictures. He loved wearing cowboy boots and cowboy hats. He enjoyed playing softball, basketball and bowling. He would listen to all types of music and mainly enjoyed "los aguinaldos" in Puerto Rico. He played drums and guitar.

Survivors in addition to his parents, are two sisters, Zenaida Bermudez and her husband Miqueos of Florida and Maricruz Vega and her husband Irbert of Connecticut. 3 nephews, Kevin Mangual, Joaquin Vega and Manolo Vega and his cousin Carmen Rueda of California. In addition to other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Rev. Ever Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.

Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 AM, prior to the service.
