Carmen Miranda, age 69 of Vineland went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 23, 2015 in Temple University Medical Center, Philadelphia. Carmen was born in Naguabo, Puerto Rico to the late Cruz and Juanita (Rodriguez) Mendoza and lived in the Bronx, New York most of her life before moving to Vineland eight years ago. She was owner-operator of Carmen's Little Hut Restaurant and Store in the Bronx for twelve years. She enjoyed bingo and sharing time with her family and dog Sal. Carmen was predeceased by her son Osvaldo "Coco" Valentin. Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years- Victor Miranda of Vineland and daughter, Elizabeth Rodriguez and her husband Freddie of Vineland. Also 2 grandchildren, her brother Jesus Mendoza and his wife China of Naguabo, P.R. and her three sisters, Mary, Julia and Tita Mendoza, all of Naguabo. Also her sister-in-law, Gloria Pagan and her husband Jose Luis of Vineland, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 27th 2015 at 11:00 AM from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
