Catalino Ortiz, age 97 of Vineland, peacefully passed away and went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 22, 2024.

Catalino was born to Maria Alicea and Juan Ortiz in Aibonito, Puerto Rico on January 15, 1927. He retired as a maintenance technician from Renoc Company in Vineland, NJ. Catalino loved to attend church, where he was a Deacon and an Elder. He also loved outreach and missionary work. Catalino enjoyed gardening, reading and joking around.

He was married to Manuela Ortiz on April 10, 1986. He has three sons from his previous marriage: Eliezer and wife Sandra, (predeceased by his middle son), Henry and William. His step-children: Luis and wife Felicia, Yolanda and husband Dennis, Orlando and wife Aida, Hilda, John and wife Gladys. Along with 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren and 21 step-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 25th at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Family and friends may gather from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Following the service, Catalino will be laid to rest in Siloam Cemetery.
