Catherine L. (Sampson) Granato, age 75 of Newfield, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024 peacefully at home. Catherine was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the late Bernard and Miriam (Leucht) Sampson and she lived in Newfield most of her life.

She graduated from Lackawanna Trail High School in Factoryville, Pa. in 1964. Catherine was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church, Pittsgrove. Prior to retirement, she was a bookkeeper for Swanson Hardware in Vineland for 30 years.

Catherine was a responsible, caring person and took care of her younger siblings while growing up.

She was predeceased by her husband Dominick C. Granato in 1993 and her brother, William Sampson in 2011.

Survivors include her loving sister, Marie Jacik of Syracuse, NY and two brothers, David Sampson and his wife Peg and James Sampson and his wife Athena, all of N. Syracuse, NY., along with several nieces and nephews.

Catherine's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the Union Grove United Methodist Church 488 Almond Rd. Pittsgrove, NJ 08318 with Rev. Alan Darby officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends may gather in the CHURCH on Tuesday from 10-11:00 AM, prior to the service.
