Cecilia Acosta, age 65 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 29, 2012 in SJ Healthcare, R.M.C. Cecilia was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Esteban and Efigenia (Santiago) Heredia and was a resident of Vineland for most of her life. She was a seamstress for L.M. and Sons Clothing of Vineland for many years. More recently, Cecilia was a home health aide for Loving Care for 5 years. She was a member of the Spanish Assembly of God Church and enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. Cecilia is survived by her husband, Tomas Acosta, her son Guillermo Mendez and wife Nuvonda and her 2 daughters; Mary Mendez and Carmen Minguela and husband Angel, all of Vineland. Also by 8 brothers, 5 sisters, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, May 3rd at the Vineland Spanish Assembly of God Church, 3rd and Quince St. Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery. The viewing will be held at the church on Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00pm and again on Thursday, 1 hour prior to the service.
