Celestina Fernandez-Hernandez, age 94 of Vineland (formerly of Landisville), went home to the Lord on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Celestina was born in Camuy, Puerto Rico to the late Andres and Inez (Galan-Rodriguez) Fernandez-Valentin.  She was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, Our Lady of Victories Church, Landisville, where she was active with the Cursillistas, Legion of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  Celestina loved to garden and cook for her family and enjoyed every moment shared with them.

She was predeceased by her husband Juan Hernandez and by her 2 sons; Pedro and Edwin Hernandez.

Celestina is survived by her 2 devoted daughters; Carmen Figueroa and husband Mario of Vineland and Juanita Lopez and husband Jorge of Jersey City.  She is also survived by her 6 cherished grandchildren; Andrea Pineiro, Angelica Lopez, Rebecca Lopez, Christina Lopez, Shane Hernandez and Selena Figueroa.  Along with her daughter-in-law, Arlene Hernandez of Las Vegas and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Liturgy will be Celebrated on Thursday, March 30 ^th at 11:00 am at the Our Lady of Victories Church, 202 N.W. Blvd. Landisville.  Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.  Family and friends may gather from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the Church.
