Obituary

Charles E. Bramble Sr. age 90 of Buena and formerly of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 .

Charles was born in Mt. Royal, NJ on February 8, 1929 to the late Joseph and Geraldine (Gans) Bramble and was a resident of Vineland since 1967, prior to his recent move to Buena. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Charles was a Private First Class, proudly serving during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement, Charles worked as a sales manager with S.J. Gas Company for 35 years. He also co-owned the Bible Book Nook with his wife Joanne. Charles was on the board of the YMCA, President of the Y's Men's Club, Treasurer of the Greater Vineland Chamber of Commerce and a member of both Millville, NJ and Tarpon Springs, FL. Gideons. Along with being a member of the Industrial Management Club. He was a member of the Chestnut Assembly of God Church of Vineland and was also the president and secretary there for many years. Charles and Joanne were both involved with Marriage Encounter and Engaged Encounter and an original member of the "Motley's"

Charles was predeceased by his beloved wife of 65 years, Joanne (Downs) Bramble in 2016. Also by his brothers Joe, Tom, Bill and Lou and by his sisters Mary, Clara, Thelma and Joan.

Charles is survived by his 3 loving children; Joanne Stetson and her husband Chuck of Woodbury, Laura McCreery and her husband Patrick of Tarpon Springs, FL and Chuck E. Bramble Jr. and his wife Denise of Vineland. His eleven cherished grandchildren; Stephen Stetson, Sarah Marrella and her husband Rich, Lindsay Vafier and her husband Steve, Christine Stetson and Courtney Stetson, James McCreery and his wife Victoria, David McCreery and his wife Brittany, Andrew McCreery and his wife Ali and Shane, Chaz and Alicia Bramble, along with his two great-granddaughters Aubree and Ava McCreery. He is also survived by his brother Carl Jerome Bramble and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 13th at 10:00 am at the Chestnut Assembly of God Church, 2554 E. Chestnut Ave. Vineland. Interment with military honors will follow in Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ. An evening viewing will be held on Monday from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, and again on Tuesday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 am at the CHURCH.
