Charles E. McGill Sr., age 85 of Vineland, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. Charles was born in Vineland to the late Leinau and Lillian (Panz) McGill and was a lifelong Vineland resident. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, Charles worked as an electrician with the I.B.E.W. Local #592 union of Vineland. He enjoyed building model airplanes and spending time on his son's boats. Charles was predeceased by his sister Marion Smith and his brother James McGill. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Hilda (Meyenborg) McGill of Vineland. 2 sons; Glenn A. McGill and girlfriend Corleta Mullins of Kent Island, MD. and Charles E. McGill Jr. of Mt. Joy, PA. 2 daughters; Diane Rieck of Vineland and Bonnie Beck and husband Thomas of Dorchester, NJ. Charles is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Monday, Jan. 19th at 1:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery.
