In Loving Memory of Christian Velazquez Matos

Christian Velazquez, age 41 of Port Norris, NJ, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Ramon Velazquez and Luz Maria Matos, Christian worked as a construction worker with B.T.W. Enterprise in Millville.

Christian  was a beacon of warmth, laughter, and unwavering kindness. To know him was to feel seen, supported, and uplifted. Whether through a quiet gesture, a heartfelt conversation or laughter to remember, Christian had a rare gift for making others feel truly valued.

His passions were many, and his heart even greater. He approached life with authenticity and a deep sense of purpose, leaving an imprint on all who crossed his path. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, in the stories we share, and in the love that will never fade.

Though Christian is no longer with us in body, his spirit endures in every memory, every lesson, and every smile he inspired. We carry him forward with gratitude and honor his life by living ours with the same grace he showed us every day.

Christian is survived by two sons; Shamil and Josiah Velazquez, along with 5 siblings.

Rest peacefully, Christian. You are dearly missed and forever cherished.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 4th at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Family and friends may gather from 10:00-11:00 am at the funeral home. Following the service, Christian will be laid to rest in Haleyville Methodist Cemetery.
