Cristina Gloria Acosta, of Vineland, age 77, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at home. Cristina was born in Angeles, Utuado, Puerto Rico and was a resident of Vineland since 1960. Gloria was an active and faithful member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was well known for always putting others needs before her own. She was charitable and enjoyed caring for the sick and needy. She is survived by her three children; Ariel Alonso of Vineland, Jeannie Cooper and husband Roy of Port Charlotte, Fl. and Migdael Molina and wife Maria of Vineland. Seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two sisters; Hilda Echevarria and Lucy De La Rosa, both of Vineland and her brother Luis Acosta of Vineland. Cristina is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Cristina and Eladio Acosta and brother Jose Acosta. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was one of her greatest joys in life. Gloria had a passion for reading, poetry, singing, embroidery, cooking and sharing the word of God. She will be greatly missed. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 29th at 11:00 am at the Vineland Spanish 7th Day Adventist Church, 230 W. Chestnut Ave. Vineland, with Rev. Carlos Torres officiating. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. The viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Church and again on Monday from 9:00 - 11:00 am at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
