David Theodore Brecht, age 89 of Millville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Inspira Medical Center, Elmer.

David was born in Millville, NJ to the late Lewis and Emeline (Henry) Brecht and was a resident for most of his life there. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War and was stationed in St. Thomas and San Juan, PR before being honorably discharged. Prior to his retirement, David was employed by Kimble Glass Co. for 33 years as a schedule expeditor and later with Comar Glass Co. More recently he worked for Sheppard Bus Service as a bus aide. David faithfully and loyally attended church his whole life and enjoyed sharing time with his family.

He was predeceased by his daughter Melody Mae Brecht and by his brother Robert Lewis Brecht.

David is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Grace Mae (Pangburn) Brecht of Millville. His 5 beloved children; Sarah Clements (Kenneth) of Millville, Dawn Renee Brecht-Mangiafico (Salvatore) of Greenwich, NJ, David T. Brecht (Michelle) of Millville, Grace Mae Bohanna (Brian) of Fargo, N.D. and Darlin Delight Cossaboon of Pt. Norris, NJ. Along with 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, with one on the way and by his brother Kenneth Brecht (Sondra) of Sebring, FL.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 21st at 11:00 am at the First Assembly of God Church, 1700 Wheaton Ave. Millville, NJ with Rev. Gerritt Kenyon officiating. Family and friends will be received from 9:00-11:00 am at the church, prior to the service. David will be laid to rest with Naval Honors at Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville, NJ.
