David William Chesterton, age 31 of Mays Landing, NJ, passed away unexpectedly from his struggles with his demons on Friday, November 22, 2024.

David was born in Atlantic City, NJ on June 9, 1993 to Carrie Bunn and David Chesterton. He was a happy and fun loving child. David was extremely close with his father and paternal grandmother, who helped  raise him, and made many happy memories together. He was extremely intelligent and driven to earn his G.E.D. David loved animals and was an avid reader.

With a heart of gold, David was fiercely loyal to his family and friends. Having shared the same challenges in life as his mom, they had grown closer in the past 8 years. She was a contributing force on his path to recovery. David was proud of his mom's recovery and he fought hard for his own.

David is lovingly survived by his mother Carrie Bunn and his father David Chesterton. His 2 brothers; Ryan and George, niece Karlie Rose and nephews; Franklin Ryan and Alias Alexander. His grandmothers, Helen Chesterton and Patricia Amy. He will also be remembered by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his maternal great-grandparents Patricia E. Collins and William H. Collins.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing on Saturday, November 30th at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. A service of remembrance will begin at 4:30. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in memory of David to be made to Angels in Motion. A non-profit organization that aided David during his journey to recovery. www.angelsinmotionnj.com
