David J. Monteleone, age 93 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family.

David was born in Malaga, NJ to the late Nicola and Lena (Comaleri) Monteleone and was a resident of Vineland for most of his life. David served honorably in the US Army during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, David was employed by the Vineland Developmental Center for over 30 years as the chief operating engineer. He was a member of the Padre Pio Parish and enjoyed hunting and fishing. David truly cherished the time shared with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by 8 siblings.

David is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 69 years, Caroline (Farabella) Monteleone of Vineland. His 3 loving children; David Monteleone (Elaine), Dean Monteleone (Doris) and Debra Monteleone, all of Vineland. His 2 grandchildren; Emy McEvoy (Pete) of Pittsgrove and Dean Monteleone (Briana) of Vineland and by his 2 great-grandchildren; Lucas and Leah McEvoy. David is also survived by his brother Donald Monteleone of Buena, along with many nieces and nephews.

The family extends their deepest and heartfelt gratitude to the NJ Health Hospice staff, Christie, Pat, Beth and Nicole.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wed. Aug. 31st at 11:00 am at the Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 4680 Dante Ave. Vineland. Family and friends may gather on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 am in the Church, prior to the Mass. David will be laid to rest in Our lady of Pompeii Church Cemetery, following the Mass.
