Deborah "Debbie" Louise (Helsley) Colon, age 62 of Vineland, NJ gained her wings on Friday, September 10, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Debbie was born on November 2, 1958 in Camden, NJ to the late Richard E. and Audrey (Carpenter) Helsley. She retired from Progresso Foods of Vineland. Debbie was a faithful and active member of the Chestnut Assembly of God Church of Vineland. She was a volunteer for the Dream Center, the Church Pantry and anywhere her help was needed. She loved to worship the Lord and spread His word. Debbie held her family as close to her as her Bible and loved to share time with her children, grandchildren, siblings and family.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Santos Colon Sr. Her 3 beloved children; Sonia (Dewey) of Elmer, Santos Jr. (Jessica) of Laurel Lake and Joshua (Heather) of Millville and Tim McFarland, whom she loved as much as a son. Her 9 cherished grandchildren; Satasia, Christian, Nathaniel, Iyana, Lily, Josiah, Isiah, Julian and Gianna. She is also survived by her step-mother, Gerry and her 11 siblings; Robin Flores, Sandy Perez (JR.) Susan Serrano (Hippolito), Linda Perez (Beny), all of Vineland, Cheryl Moore, Richard Helsley (Kathy), Robert Helsley (Lisa), Brenda Pride (Chris), Billy Helsley (KC), all of West Virginia and Bob Helsley (Carrie) and Irene Helsley, all of Florida. Along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her son Angel and by her sister Tammy.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 19th at 3:00 pm at the Chestnut Assembly of God Church, 2554 E. Chestnut Ave. Vineland. Family and friends may gather from 2:00-3:00 pm at the Church. Interment will be private.
