Dolores "Lola" Rodriguez Lopez, age 78 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 8, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Lola was born in Morovis, Puerto Rico to the late Elias and Maria (Rosario) Rodriguez and has been a Vineland resident since 1961.  Prior to her retirement, she worked as a machine operator with Progresso Quality Foods of Vineland for over 30 years.  Lola enjoyed gardening and cooking, however her true passions were caring for others and sharing her beautiful smile with everyone.  She loved family gatherings and sharing time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lola is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Raul Alvarez Lopez of Vineland and her 5 cherished children; her daughter Ibet DeLaTorre and husband Jose of Vineland and her 4 sons; Robinson Resto of FL., Raul Lopez Jr. and wife Juanita, John Lopez and Jose Lopez and wife Tracy, all of Vineland.  She is also survived by Andres Lopez, whom she loved as a son, 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and her sister Laura Rodriguez of P.R. and her brothers; Wilfredo Rodriguez of P.R., Juan Rodriguez of Vineland, Elias Rodriguez and Felix Rodriguez, both of P.R.

Lola was predeceased by her sister Magdalena Rodriguez and her brother Eric Rodriguez.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, Aug. 12 ^th at Higher Places Ministries, 40 W. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Pastor Osvaldo Heredia officiating.  Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.  Family and friends may gather from 10:00 – 12:00pm at the Church.
