Domenic "Chip" L. Cipolla age 86 of Vineland (formerly of Buena Boro) passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 in Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia. Domenic was born in Camden to the late Frank and Felice (Perrone) Cipolla and lived in Buena Boro most of his life before moving to Vineland in 2006. Chip was a US Army veteran serving during WW2 as a Technical Sgt. and was a chauffeur for the Commanding Generals, Eisenhower and MacCarthur in the Pacific Theater. Prior to retirement, he was a Truck Driver for the former Tri State Transportation Co. of Vineland and Bellmawr for 40 years. Chip was member and former Shop Steward of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union Local 676. He was also a 60 year plus member of American Legion #270 of Minotola and member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge of Vineland. He enjoyed owning and restoring antique cars and attending car shows. He was a member of various car clubs including the Early Ford V8 Club of America and Foundation, Antique Automobile Club of America and the American Truck Historical Society. He enjoyed gardening and sharing time with his family. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Gilda "Jill" (Macciocca) Cipolla of Vineland, one son, Russell Cipolla and his wife Rita of Williamstown, grandson Lance Rib of Williamstown, one sister, Marie Doyle of Vineland and also several nieces and nephews. Domenic was predeceased by his sisters, Lena Shultz and Ida Gruccio. Funeral liturgy will be held Thursday, January 24th at 11:00 AM from Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Michael's Church 504 West Ave. Minotola. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Visitation hours are 9:30-11:00 AM in the church prior to the liturgy. Donations in Chip's memory may be made to the C.C.S.P.C.A. 1244 N.
