Donald L. Jourdan, age 82 of Vineland, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, November 22, 2021, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.

Donald was born in Omaha, NE to the late Arnold and Erna (Ernie) Jourdan. He was a resident of Omaha for most of his life before moving to Fullerton, NE and later to Vineland, NJ. Donald was a graduate of Zion Lutheran South High School, Omaha University and the School of the Minds. Donald was a proud veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1964. Prior to his retirement, Donald worked as a professional Land Surveyor. He was licensed in the state of Nebraska and Colorado with J.F. Sato and Associates of Littleton, CO. for 48 years. He was a member of the American Legion in Nebraska and New Jersey for 20 years and an active member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Vineland where he served as an usher. Donald enjoyed hunting, gardening and farm work in Nebraska.

He was predeceased by his brother Kenneth Jourdan and by his sister Delores Jourdan.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 21 years and friend since childhood, Marilyn (Wilson) Jourdan of Vineland. His daughter Mary (Hill) Price and her husband Montague of Vineland, along with 2 grandchildren; Ken Bahamundi and Cassandra Bahamundi and his 3 great-grandchildren; Josiah, Giovanna and Sebastian. He is also survived by 3 brothers; Thomas, Darrell and Allen Jourdan, 3 sisters; Norma Jourdan, Eileen Jourdan and Debbie Ward and several nieces, nephews and extended family. He will be missed by his precious rescue dog and companion, Sandi.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 30th at 11:00 am at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2384 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Family and friends may gather prior to the service at Church from 10:00-11:00. Donald will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Cemetery, Omaha, NE.
