Doris M. Champion, age 81 of Vineland, passed away on Wednesday November 21, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Doris was born in Philadelphia to the late Charles and Regina (O'Brien) Graver and was a Vineland resident for most of her life. She was a graduate of Vineland High School, Class of 1949. Prior to retirement, Doris worked as a legal secretary for the late Moe Joseph Esq. and Paul Van Embden Esq. offices of Vineland for over 50 years. She was a faithful member of the Trinity Episcopal Church of Vineland and also a member of the St. Martha's Guild of the church. Doris was a founding member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Oak and Main Fire Hall of Vineland. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband. Doris was predeceased by her son James R. Champion Jr. Doris is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James R. Champion Sr. of Vineland. Her 2 devoted daughters; Linda J. Champion of Vineland and Lois Flaim and her husband Ronn of Newfield. Her daughter-in-law, Tricia Champion of Roanoke, VA and 9 grandchildren; Vincent Scalese (Ingrid) of Collegeville, PA, Jimmy Scalese (Beth) of Egg Harbor Twp., Ronn Flaim (Heather) of Franklinville and Shannon Silvestri (Sergio) of Millville, Brian Flaim of Vineland, Lauren Flaim of Newfield, Jennifer Hanson (Matt), Jimmy Champion (Caroline) and Joseph Champion of Richmond, VA. 10 great-grandchildren; Allison, Sammie, Ella, Jordan, Sara, Ronald, A.J., Maggie, James IV and William. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 24th at 11:00am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland with Rev. Ellen Rutherford officiating.
