Doris Oquendo, age 87 of Vineland, went to walk the streets of heaven on Saturday, January 15, 2022. She went to meet with her beloved husband, Guillermo Oquendo, her parents Basilio Torres and Fabiana Collazo, and ten of her siblings.

Doris's talent and her passion for fashion were embraced by many in the community. She was a lifelong member of the Puerto Rican Festival Committee.

She is survived by her daughters, Ada Cruz, Marta Gonzalez and husband Javier Gonzalez. Her caring companion of 15 years Irene Rodriguez. Grandchildren: Sheinna Cruz, Peter Smith Jr, Tatiana Lancara, and Nathalie Lancara. Great-Grandchildren: Jazlynn Cruz, Londyn Almodovar, Ariah Almodovar, and Saliyah Smith. Along with 6 Siblings: Milagros Torres, Ana Torres, Ana Luisa Torres, Minerva Torres, Luis Torres, and Felix Torres, and a host of nieces, nephews.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, Jan. 22nd from 9:00-10:30 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 am and interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery.
