Edith M. (Torchio) Neuner, age 84 of Pittsgrove, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at home, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with Leukemia.

Edith was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Vincent and Maggie (Minna) Torchio and lived in Pittsgrove most of her life. She was raised in Newfield and graduated from Vineland High School Class of 1949. Prior to retirement, she was a Batch House Foreman for Kimble Glass Co. of Vineland for 30 years.

Edith was an excellent baker and everyone looked forward to her Christmas cookies. Edith traveled extensively, enjoyed dancing, skiing, sharing time with her family, and living life to its fullest. She enjoyed community volunteering in a variety of Clubs and Committees. She also enjoyed crocheting, doll making, needlepoint and was the family genealogist.

Edith will be missed by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband George Neuner and her sister and brother-in-law, Raffaela and Michael J. Pontelandolfo.

Survivors include two brothers, Gregory V. Torchio and his wife Dorothy and Vincent A. Torchio and his wife Theresa, all of Pittsgrove.

Nieces and nephews, Valerie Coslop (Bob), Kathryn Rodriguez (Dennis), Gregory D. Torchio (Phyllis), Laura Dioslaki (Joe), Jeffrey Torchio, Paul N. Torchio (Mary Ellen), Angela D. Torchio, Ramona Pontelandolfo, Michael A. Pontelandolfo (Gwen) and Miriam Pontelandolfo. Also many great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 21 st at 11:00 AM from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Willow Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pittsgrove. Visitation hours are Monday from 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home prior to the service.
