Edward J. Baker, age 82 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 28, 2014 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. Edward was born in Philadelphia to the late Edward M. and Marie (Walser) Baker and was a lifelong Vineland resident. Ed was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served in Germany during the Korean War. Prior to retirement, Ed worked as a machinest for Kimble Glass Co. of Vineland for over 40 years. He was a member of the Competition Dirt Riders Club since 1970. Ed enjoyed the annual Indy 500 race. His true passion was snowmobiling in Maine. Ed was predeceased by his wife Eleanor (Campbell) Baker and by his son Edward J. Baker Jr. Ed is survived by his brother, Frank R. Baker and wife Joan of Vineland. His sister, Mary E. (Baker) Iezzi and husband Alfred of Milmay. And also by his companion Grace Fillman and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 1st at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Rev. Alex Thompson officiating. Burial will be private.
