Edward B. DeYoung, age 74, of Pittsgrove Twp, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, July 19, 2021 at home with family and his loving dog Oreo by his side.

Edward was born to Edward and Marion (Gonsowski) DeYoung in Nyack, NY on March 2, 1947. In 1968, Edward joined the US Air Force, and served 4 years as a munitions officer. After completing his tour of duty, he moved to Vineland, NJ, where he met the love of his life, Brenda. Brenda and Edward married on December 12, 1981 and moved to Pittsgrove Township, where they settled into their home and raised their two children. In addition to being a father and devoted husband, Edward also had a long career working for the Vineland Fire Department, retiring at the rank of Captain. Edward enjoyed working with his hands, repairing most things himself and he even built his own house with the help of his wife. He spent a lot of time outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time with family and went on many vacations to Florida and other areas. His favorite holiday was Christmas, and he always went overboard getting gifts for everyone. He truly enjoyed life to its fullest.

He was predeceased by his wife Brenda L. DeYoung, his mother Marion DeYoung, and his father Edward P. DeYoung.

Edward is survived by his two sisters, Janice and Elaine, his two children; Barbara Krick and her husband Richard of Mays Landing, NJ and Bryan DeYoung and his partner Chris Martinez of Pittsgrove, NJ. Along with his two grandchildren; Jacob Krick and Joshua Stangl.
