Edward "Fast Eddie" Ledbetter 62, of Millville, NJ passed away Friday, May 25th at home from natural causes. Born in Bridgeton , Ed spent most of his life residing in Vineland.

Known to many as "Fast Eddie", he was an extremely hard working man who entered the pizza business as a teenager. Ed eventually became co-owner of Pat & Ralphs Pizzeria in Vineland, where he spent most hours of the day, because he loved what he did, and he loved his customers and his staff. He would always greet his customers with a cheerful "hello" and would take the time for a friendly comment or brief conversation with anyone who came in. He was a very giving and generous person, and he achieved his happiness by seeing others happy. He would open up his heart and his home to anyone in need. Even though he worked long hours, Ed would find the time to squeeze in a round of golf with friends or a session of his favorite card game, gin rummy, and a visit to a local restaurant or tavern for a nice meal and some social drinking.

In his later years, after his business had closed , Ed took a more relaxing approach to life, watching sports and game shows on TV, playing cards, and would always be seen with a word puzzle book by his side. Although he was experiencing some health issues in his final years, Ed remained the cheerful, caring, helpful person that he always was.

Family and friends may gather on Monday, June 18th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 East Landis Avenue, Vineland, NJ.  A memorial service in memory of Ed will begin at 7:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Karen W. Bernhardt.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Inspira LIFE, the PACE Organization (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), which was an important part of Eddie's life in recent years: Inspira LIFE Vineland, 2445 South Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360.
