Edwin Carrera, age 64 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.

Edwin was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Sixto and Claudia (Chevere) Carrera and was a resident of Vineland for most of his life.  Prior to his retirement, Edwin worked as a forklift operator with Allied Steaks of Vineland.  He enjoyed going to the casinos and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.  Above all, Edwin cherished the time shared with family and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Rosa (Santiago) Carrera in 2014.

Edwin is survived by his 6 loving children, daughters; Claudia Carreras, Carmen Carreras, Sonia Ribot, Maria Banderas and Rosa Carreras, and son, Edwin Carreras Jr.  He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 13th at 10:00 am at the Spanish Assembly of God Church, 3rd & Quince St. Vineland.  Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery.  The viewing will be on Monday evening (tonight)  from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Church and again on Tuesday from 9:00-10:00 am at the Church.
