Edwin "Ed" Justice Pitman, age 89 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 24th 2017 in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.

Ed was born in Vineland to the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Johnson) Pitman and lived in Vineland all his life.  He was a graduate of Vineland High School Class of 1948.  Ed was a Control Tower Operator for the United States Air Force during the Korean War.  Ed was employed by Sears Co. of Vineland, as a Service Technician for over 25 years. After retirement, he worked as a Crossing Guard for the City of Vineland until December 2016.  He had a pilot license and enjoyed flying, sail boating, woodworking, his horses and sharing time with family and friends.  Ed was a member of Victory Assembly of God of Pittsgrove.

He was predeceased by his sister, May Piccioni and sister-in-law, Lorraine Pitman.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Marion Jean (Kouhoupt) Pitman of Vineland. One son, Ed M. Pitman and his wife Carla and one daughter, Diana Pitman, all of Vineland. Two grandchildren, Daniel Pitman and his wife Caitlyn and Jaime Pitman, all of Vineland. One Brother, Robert Pitman of Malaga and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 30th 2017 at 12:00 Noon from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Pastor Ralph Siegel officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery, Hopewell.  Family and friends may gather from 10:00 AM till Noon in the funeral home, prior to the service.
