Elba I. Sanchez, 75, went to be with the Lord on March 26,2026
Elba was born on September 21,1950, in Utuado, P.R. to Delia & Jose Ortiz. She was known as a kind,
independent, sweet, thoughtful, loving and giving woman. Whose caring and generous nature touched
and left an impact with everyone she encountered.
With a strong will and a gentle heart, she faced life’s struggles with grace. Enjoyed everyday as if were
her last. She worked at Arian Fashions and then at Comar Dougherty Bros where she then retired from
her strong work ethic, reliability and perseverance were deeply valued and respected.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, wrestling, UFC, dancing, singing, shopping and taking pictures but most of all
spending time with family and friends.
She was a devoted and loving mother whose strength, spirit, unwavering support, boundless love, faith,
shall be an example that will continue to guide her family.
Elba is lovingly membered by her children: Elba M. Echevarria (Moses), Delia Sanchez and Eligio Sanchez
Jr. She is also lovingly remembered by her 8 grandchildren: Justin (Kristel), Robert, Ricky, Jonathan
(Jackie), Ryan, Edwin, Eligenys, Adrianna, 1 great-grandson Josiah. Sisters Aurea, Nelida(Rafael) and
twin sister Carmen, brothers Benjamin(Irma), Luis(Lillian) many nieces and nephews, numerous
extended family members and dear friends whose love and friendship brought her absolute joy.
She is preceded in death by mother Delia, father Jose, brothers Alfredo, Jose Luis(Cheli) and, loving
sisters Rosa Julia and Ivette.
Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home
1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, New Jersey 08360. Burial will be private.

Elba I. Sánchez, de 75 años, partió a reunirse con el Señor el 26 de marzo de 2026.
Elba nació el 21 de septiembre de 1950 en Utuado, Puerto Rico, hija de Delia y José Ortiz. Fue conocida
como una mujer bondadosa, independiente, dulce, atenta, amorosa y generosa; cuya naturaleza
cariñosa y dadivosa tocó y impactó a cada persona con la que se cruzó en la vida.
Con una voluntad firme y un corazón tierno, enfrentó las luchas en su vida con gracia. Disfrutaba cada
día como si fuera el último. Trabajó en Arian Fashions y, posteriormente, en Comar Dougherty Bros,
empresa de la cual se jubiló; su sólida ética laboral, su confiabilidad y su perseverancia fueron
profundamente valoradas y respetadas.
Disfrutaba jugar bingo, ver lucha libre, UFC, bailar, cantar, ir de compras y tomar muchas fotografías,
pero sobre todo, disfrutaba pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos.
Fue una madre devota y amorosa, cuya fortaleza, espíritu, apoyo inquebrantable, amor infinito y fe en
Dios servirán como un ejemplo que continuará guiando a su familia.
Elba es recordada con amor por sus hijos: Elba M. Echevarría (Moses), Delia Sánchez y Eligio Sánchez Jr.
También es recordada con cariño por sus 8 nietos: Justin (Kristel), Robert, Ricky, Jonathan (Jackie), Ryan
Edwin, Eligenys y Adrianna; y por su bisnieto, Josiah. Le sobreviven sus hermanas Aurea, Nelida (Rafael)
y su hermana gemela Carmen; sus hermanos Benjamin (Irma) y Luis (Lillian); muchos sobrinos y
sobrinas, numerosos familiares extendidos y queridos amigos, cuyo amor y amistad le brindaron una
alegría absoluta.
Le precedieron en la muerte su madre Delia, su padre José, sus hermanos Alfredo y José Luis (Cheli), y
sus amadas hermanas Rosa Julia e Ivette.
La familia y los amigos pueden reunirse en el Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeraria 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland
de 6:00-8:00 PM, el Martes 31 de Marzo, 2026. El entierro sera privado.
