Elizabeth Ramos-Rosa, 85, of Vineland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Cooper Hospital after a courageous battle with injuries sustained in a fall.

Born and raised with a vibrant spirit in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, Elizabeth brought that same energy with her when she moved to Vineland 54 years ago. Dedicated to her community, she built a successful career as a social worker, leaving her mark on Casa Prac and Archway Medical Daycare Center. Elizabeth wasn't one to rest on her laurels – she went on to earn her master's degree in social work from Rowan University, proving that lifelong learning was her passion.

Elizabeth's influence extended far beyond her work. She was a pillar in the Vineland community, actively involved in organizations like Latino Women in Action and Amor Cristiano en Accion. Whether advocating for families with special needs or celebrating her Puerto Rican heritage at festivals, Elizabeth's enthusiasm was contagious.

In her free time, Elizabeth nurtured her love for life through simple pleasures. Picture her tending to her flourishing garden, whipping up delicious meals, or winning a round of dominoes with a twinkle in her eye. Most importantly, she cherished her role as a grandmother to her 19-year-old triplet grandsons, Caden, Caleb, and Carel.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her beloved husband Carmelo Ramos, sons Roy and Ray Ramos, and brother Geremias Rosa Figueroa. She is survived by her daughter, Reta Wilmore, who will forever remember her mother's strength and kindness. She also leaves behind her cherished sisters Edelmira, Luz Eneida, and Raquel Rosa Figueroa, and brothers Avelino and Efrain Rosa Figueroa.

Elizabeth's legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, Vineland. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Following the service, Elizabeth will be laid to rest in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
