Emma F. Davis December 28, 1934 - May 30, 2025

With great sadness the family of Emma (Fleming) Davis share the news of her passing at age 90.  Emma was born and raised in Vineland, N.J. where she remained a lifelong resident.  She was the daughter of the late Minerva (Brown) and Ernest A. Fleming, Sr.  She was predeceased by her brothers John, Gerald, and Ernest Fleming, Jr. and her sisters Ruth Kennedy, Anne Fish, Edith May, and Rebecca Keller.  She is survived by her sister, Kathryn Bush.

Emma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She was a dedicated stay-at-home mom where she helped raise her four children who were always the world to her.  As her children became older, she worked at Winslow Pharmacy in Vineland.  In later life she worked and retired from the Vineland Board of Education in the food services department.  A devoted Christian, she was a longtime and active member of the First Baptist Church of Vineland.  Emma served as a Deaconess, served on the hospitality committee, taught several years of Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, and enjoyed lifting her voice with others by singing in the choir.  When two churches merged, she continued to worship at Central Baptist Church in Millville, N.J.

Emma enjoyed attending plays at the theater, travelling with her husband, socializing with friends over dinner or by playing cards and board games.  She took pleasure by curling up with a good book and a piece of chocolate. The most important aspect of her life was her family.  She loved being surrounded by the ones she loved, especially during birthdays, holidays, and on celebrating special occasions.

Emma is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Dale Davis, Sr.  Much loved by her children Dale, Jr. (Helen), Daniel (Bonnie), Derrick (Barbara), Melissa Dapp (Matthew) and her grandchildren Bryan (Dana), Jason, Hannah, Cameron, Jennifer (Mike), Lauren, Brandon and Ryan and great grandchildren Mackenzie and Collin.

Relatives and friends may call between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Avenue, Vineland, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be private.
