Eric Michael Stormes passed away at the age of 39 years old on January 29, 2023, after battling an extended illness.

Eric, or "Bud" as his family called him and "Papa" as his daughters called him, was born and raised in Laurel Lake. He attended Millville High School, graduated class of 2002, and then attended Cumberland County College for 2 years. Eric found a long-term career with the Millville Rescue Squad starting as a Wheelchair Van driver, attaining his EMT Certification, and then becoming a supervisor for the organization. Throughout his career, he made many friends that he considered to be family. On September 23, 2017, he married his soul mate and best friend, Adrienne, and became "Papa" to his girls Lay, Gabby, and Kenzie, all of whom will miss him dearly. Eric loved to spend time with his family and going to Fortescue to see the sunset with them.

In addition to his wife and children, Eric is survived by his parents Helen and Russell Stormes, his sister Karen (Stormes) Rivera, brother-in-law Mackie Rivera and nephew Caleb Rivera, parents-in-law Bill and Sue Whildin, and sister-in-law Sami Lyn Whildin and nephew Carson Sarvaic. He is also survived by his goddaughter Genna Hamiliton, maternal grandmother, aunt, uncles, and cousins both maternal and paternal.

To respect Eric's wishes, there will be no services or viewing following cremation. A Celebration of Life will be planned for later in February to allow for those that wish to celebrate this unique, funny, and loving human a time to do so with his family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Veterans Multi Service Center at 616 Landis Ave in Vineland NJ 08360.
