Erin Semus, age 39, of Williamstown, passed away after a brief illness, on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at home.

Born on November 8th, 1982, Erin grew up in Vineland, NJ. She attended St. Mary Elementary School and Sacred Heart High School, where she graduated as the valedictorian of the class of 2001. She graduated from Rowan University with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a Minor in Music, and began her teaching career in the Vineland School District where she worked for 17 years. Erin also earned her M.A. in Reading and Literacy from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She was named Teacher of the Year at D'Ippolito Elementary School in 2012.

Erin enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, getting massages with her mom, and eating spicy foods with her dad. She also liked summer traveling with her best friend (and brother), Billy.
Of all the awards, and accomplishments that she achieved, Erin's biggest love and purpose on this earth was her only daughter Cara Theresa (9). They loved spending time together doing their nails, playing Mario Kart, and most of all, cuddling before bedtime with her 'stuffies'.

Erin now joins her grandparents John and Theresa Ferrarie and William Semus in heaven.

She is survived and deeply loved by her parents, William "Bill" and Joyce Semus of Vineland; her brother William "Bill" Jr. Semus and his fiancée Katie Colihan of Williamstown and her daughter, Cara, and many other family, friends, colleagues, and students.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM from Sacred Heart Church, 1010 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.

Family and friends may gather on Monday from 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland.
