Eriverto "Eddie" Hernandez, age 47 of Clayton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 23, 2019.

Eddie was born in Vineland to Angel Hernandez and the late Noemi (Acosta) Hernandez and was a lifelong resident of Vineland, prior to his recent move to Clayton. He was employed as a pool plaster technician with J.V. Pools of Monroeville for over 3 years.  He was a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and enjoyed fishing, crabbing and interior decorating. Eddie had a big heart and loved his family immensely. You would never see him angry, he was fast to forgive and even faster to share a joke and a smile with. Eddie loved to enjoy life and share it with his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his mother, Noemi Hernandez and by his brother-in-law, "Big" Mike Glenn.

Eddie will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 4 years, Betty Torres-Hernandez of Clayton and by his 8 children; Eddie Hernandez of Millville, Mikey Dominguez of Millville, Brittanee Hernandez of Florida, Matthew Hernandez of Williamstown, Carlos Torres of Philadelphia, Walter Torres of Texas, Jesus Matos of Clayton and Julissa Matos of Philadelphia. He is also survived by his father, Angel Hernandez, 13 grandchildren and 9 siblings; Edna Hernandez and husband William Marquez, Carmen Glenn, Blanca Rivera and husband Joe, Maritza Hernandez and husband Kevin Smith, Angel Hernandez Jr. and wife Reina, George Hernandez and wife Jiny, Adrian Hernandez and wife Blanca, Moses Hernandez and John Hernandez, all of Vineland. Along with his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Pastor Roberto Torres and Iris Torres of Philadelphia, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 11:00 am at the First Spanish Church of God Church, 557 N. Mill Rd. Vineland, with Pastor William Soto officiating. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. The viewing will be from 9:00-11:00 am at the Church.
