Ernest R. "Richie" Brunetta, age 87 of Vineland, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.

Richie was born in Vineland to the late Mario and Evelyn (Damani) Brunetta and was a lifelong resident of Vineland. He was a graduate of Vineland High School with the Class of 1953. Prior to his retirement, Richie was employed by NJ Silica Sand Co. for over 20 years as a heavy equipment operator. He also worked as the maintenance supervisor at the Vineland Public Library. Richie was a member of the Padre Pio Parish and enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards.

He was predeceased by his son Eugene Brunetta and by his sister Linda Smaniotto.

Richie is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Jeanne (Taylor) Brunetta, of Vineland. Three children: Richard Brunetta (Valerie) of Vineland, Terry

Brunetta of Vineland and Cindy Franceschini (Mark) of Milmay, NJ. Along with his 5 grandchildren: Kadie Spotts (Ryan), Mathew Brunetta (Avegail), Hayley Brunetta, Linda Franceschini and Genna Brunetta and 6 great-grandchildren. Richie is also survived by his daughter-in-law Paulette Brunetta of Edgewater Park, NJ and by his brother Mario Brunetta (Donna Longo) of Vineland and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, March 7th at Padre Pio Parish, St. Mary's Church, 736 Union Rd. Vineland. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Family and friends may gather on Tuesday from 10:00-11:45 am at the Church.

Donations in memory of Richie may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
