Esther (Jablonski) Frydenberg, age 90 of Vineland passed away on Sunday, August 2nd 2015 after a long illness. Esther, a holocaust survivor, was born in Sieradz, Poland on November 10th, 1924 to Henoch and Karola Jablonski. Her family perished in the war. She immigrated to the United States from Sweden in 1947, settling first in Camden and then Philadelphia. She met her husband, Sam, in 1951 on a weekend visit to Vineland, they married, and then settled on a chicken farm in East Vineland where they farmed and raised a family. In 1967, Esther opened Esther's Dress Shop on Landis Avenue which she operated until 1979. Her shop was one of the first in the area to offer elegant fashion for the larger woman. Esther was most importantly, a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Esther was predeceased by her husband Sam Frydenberg in 2000. She is survived by her children, Harris Frydenberg of Millville, Charles Frydenberg of Chicago, Helen Shavit and her husband Gour of France, and Sharon Frydenberg of Vineland. Also two grandchildren, Daniel and Michael Shavit. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 4th 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland with Rabbi Alfredo Winter officiating. Burial will follow in Alliance Cemetery, Norma. Shiva will be observed at the family home.
