Eugenia Cordero, age 81 of Vineland, passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to the late Eugenio Velez and Gloria Madera, she has been a resident of Vineland for the past 50 years. Prior to her retirement, Eugenia worked as a line operator with Progresso Foods of Vineland. Always with a smile and a welcoming hug, Eugenia was full of life and loved every moment shared with her family, and she also enjoyed her snacks!

She was predeceased by her grandson Hector Santiago Jr. on March 19, 2008 and by her brother Julio Velez Madera on April 1, 2022.

Eugenia is survived by her loving husband Nazario Cordero and her 2 beloved sons, Jose Santiago and Damien Santiago and their spouses. Her 7 cherished grandchildren; Natasha Santiago, Angelic Negron, Angelo Ortiz, Juanna Santiago, Leann Santiago, Maria Navarro and Tiara Santiago and by her beloved 17 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her brother Jose Velez Madera and her 2 sisters, Blanca Velez and Ramona Gonzalez.

The viewing will be held on Saturday, April 9th from 9:00-10:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 am with Pastor Juan Perez officiating. Eugenia will be laid to rest in Siloam Cemetery, following the funeral service.
